Devotees thrilled with joy to perform Kumkumarchane to Lord Venkatesha in Mangalore

Mangalore : Sunday, May 3 was a memorable day for all the Tirupati Venkateshwara devotees from Mangalore as many of their long pending dream of taking part in a ritual to celebrate their most loved God was fulfilled. The mass Kumkumarchne to the lord of seven hills Venkateshwara and Goddesses Sridevi and Bhoodevi was held at Nehru Maidanin late evening and concluded late night.

Religious programme was organised by Tirupathi Tirumala Devasthanams (TTD), which had organised Shrinivasa Kalyanotsav the last year in association with The Sevanjali Trust of Ganapathy Pai family of Car Street. Women and men in hundreds performed the Kumkumarchane ritual with utmost devotion. Shakunthala, woman in mid 60s said that it was the most joyous and fulfulling experience of her life. “I am a satisfied woman as I got to celebrate my beloved LOrd from my City itself as I was unable to make a tour to Tirupati so far,” she said.
